After more than three years of dedicated service, Danelle O’Neill resigned as the executive director of the Funeral Service Foundation. O’Neill notified the Board of Trustees and NFDA CEO Christine Pepper prior to her departure. “I am extremely proud of the work I have done during my time with the organization and truly enjoyed working with the Foundation board, Kelly, Heather and our amazing donors. As I have expressed many times, this organization has given me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally in ways I never imaged,” noted O’Neill in correspondence. “I leave knowing that I helped guide the Foundation to a new level, completed the goals we developed in our strategic plan, grew the donor base and awareness of the Foundation throughout the profession and beyond.”
The Funeral Service Foundation Board of Trustees and staff, together with NFDA, thank O’Neill for her tireless efforts on behalf of the Foundation, and wish her continued success in her career.
In the coming weeks, the Foundation and NFDA will launch a national search to fill the executive director position.
